WSD offers a variety of fun and challenging seminars ranging from two hours to consecutive days.  Each seminar is tailored to fit the requirements of the attendees, and can be held on-site or at your location.  Mr. Woodall also offers lectures for groups who want safety information but not hands-on training.

A dynamic 6-hour course. Topics include college rape statistics, legal definitions and explanations, stalking, threat assessment and avoidance, victim selection processes, criminal profiling, and self-defense training.

 

WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE SEMINAR
This course covers both physical education and awareness training for women from all walks of life. The course can be tailored to fit the circumstances of the students (educators, social services, physicians, etc.)SD Seminar

This is a typically a 3 hour basic introductory course to self-defense, but can be expanded to a larger timeframe to cover more details and increased physical self-defense training. Attendees will discover why it is so vital for a woman in today’s society to have some self-defense training, and will be given an opportunity to learn some quick and effective strikes and maneuvers.

This course is tailored to fit either young men (high school / college) or professional men of any age. The course focus is on practical self-defense training that will include basic training in striking, joint locking, chokes, and grappling techniques/submissions. They will learn about the legal justification for the use of force in a self-defense situation, escalation & de-escalation tactics, and avoidance. It’s a good way to have some fun while learning some effective defensive skills.

Cycle of Violence / Teen Violence
Self-Defense Training

The course focus is on acquiring a basic knowledge of the types of things that every teenage girl should know about. They will learn how to identify and avoid dating violence, and about date rape and date rape drugs, stalkers, sexual predators, and the basics of danger avoidance. The course will also help teens learn life-saving skills that will help them make better decisions if they do find themselves being attacked. The course is physically challenging. They will benefit from a good workout and increase their self-confidence in handling a violent situation.

 

                      OTHER CLASSES OFFERED

SCHOOL DISTRICT EDUCATION:  Specific training for schools and district staff members on campus safety.  Please contact us to discuss your needs.

1 HOUR FITNESS DEFENSE:  This is usually requested by gyms and fitness centers who want to offer a special class that contains self-defense education to their members.

1 HOUR LECTURE:  This is tailored to the needs of the group.  Common topics are how to protect your children, basic self defense concepts, workplace safety, and topics for victim service agencies and youth advocates.

PEPPER SPRAY:  There are drawbacks to pepper spray use that you may not be aware of.  It’s important to train for any type of self defense, including spray.  This class teaches you the use of and proper conditions for the use of pepper spray, as well as providing you with limited exposure.  REQUIRES:  one canister of inert pepper spray (try Amazon).

RAPE & STALKING:  Topics include statistical data, criminal profiling, legal definitions and explanations, threat assessment and avoidance, victim selection processes, and self-defense training.

PARENT’S PROGRAM
This class focuses on dispelling the myths of child protection that most parents have heard (ex: Stranger Danger!) and gives parents real answers on how to keep their children safe from predators and child molesters while creating a healthy, positive outlook in their youngsters.

CHILD’S SAFETY FUN
This upbeat, non fear-based program is taught to children so that they will have a better understanding of the ways in which sexual predators gain their trust. Tailored for the age group. The seminar also consists of self-defense training.

STREET FIGHTING AND THE LAW
Topics include statistical data, case law and legal definitions, civil liability, and self-defense training.
